ARRIVAL AND DISMISSAL PROCEDURES
Please read this notice very carefully and share it with any and all persons who may drop off and/or pick-up your child. This includes grandparents, nannies, sitters and any persons designated on your pick-up list.
For the safety of our preschoolers, your child must be dropped off and picked up by an adult at their scheduled arrival/dismissal time.
PLEASE use the parking lot in front of the gym (The Family Center) to park and use the appropriate walk way to cross. You will enter through the black gates in between Kohl’s Hall and the Gym and then proceed into the Main Entrance of Assumption ECLC building to drop off/pick-up your child.
We cannot stress enough the importance of:
- Holding your child’s hand when coming from or going to your car.
- Keeping social conversations to a minimum so that children are safely in your care.
- Greeting your child upon drop off/pick-up, whether in car or walking – CELL PHONES SHOULD NOT TO BE USED AT THIS TIME!
Children who are registered for Preschool Full Day may be dropped off beginning at 7:00 am. They must be walked in with a parent or adult.
Children who are registered for the VPK and Preschool with Extended Day may drop off beginning at 7:30am. VPK begins promptly at 8:00am.
Parents may drop off Preschool children at the doors of their classroom. Please keep conversations during drop off to a minimum. Teachers must have their attention on the children in their care.
It is crucial that your child arrive on time. When our children arrive late, the routine or whole trajectory of the day is affected. If being late is a pattern, it damages a child’s motivation towards learning and school in general.
PLEASE REMEMBER THE DISMISSAL TIMES FOR:
- VPK Only Program: The VPK portion of the day ends at 11:00 a.m. A late fee of $6 will be assessed if your child is not picked up by 11:10 a.m. An additional fee of $15 will be assessed for every additional 15 minutes the child is in attendance. Late pick up in excess of three (3) times will be cause for dismissal from the VPK program.
- Green Program: The Green Program portion of the day ends at 3:00 p.m. A late fee of $6 will be assessed if your child is not picked up by 3:10 p.m. An additional fee of $15 will be assessed for every additional 15 minutes the child is in attendance. Late pick up in excess of three (3) times will be cause for dismissal from the Green Program.
- Full Day: The Green Program portion of the day ends at 5:30 p.m. A late fee of $6 will be assessed if your child is not picked up by 5:30 p.m. An additional fee of $15 will be assessed for every additional 15 minutes the child is in attendance. Late pick up in excess of three (3) times will be cause for dismissal from the Green Program.
AFTER CARE
After Care is available from 3:00pm-5:30pm Monday-Friday. The fee per hour (or any part of the hour) is $6.00
Authorized Persons on Pick-Up List
The only person authorized to pick-up your child is the custodial parent or persons designated on your pick-up list. Proper identification is required. Please add or make changes on your Parent RenWeb account or contact the Front Office to change or add a name to the pick-up list. If the name of the said person is NOT on the pick-up list they will NOT be able to pick your child up, unless the Director is notified in writing and /or by phone.
IN SUMMARY
Your full cooperation is needed and expected in regard to the Arrival/Dismissal Procedures at Assumption Early Childhood Learning Center. We feel strongly that this will make the arrival and dismissal process SAFE FOR OUR CHILDREN AND FAMILIES. In all situations, our goal is the utmost safety for all concerned.
